HADLEY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A local man is being praised as a hero after helping to save people from a Saratoga County river when their whitewater river raft came under stress. ST. LOUIS - Get ready for another round of severe storms. The latest system rolling through the St. Louis region could hit hard late Friday evening and pose risks overnight. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for St. Louis City and many nearby counties as of 10 p.m. Friday evening. This is all in anticipation of a round of thunderstorms coming in from the west. St. Louis radar: See a map of current weather here Impacts may begin around 11 p.m. Friday, but the biggest threats could come around midnight or shortly after that. There have been tornado warnings in some parts of Missouri. Lincoln, Montgomery and Pike counties in the northern part of FOX 2's viewing area are also under a flood watch. ST. LOUIS - Workers peeled down the sign over the entrance to South City Hospital Friday afternoon, revealing the St. Alexius banner underneath. Quicker than its name changed a few years back, news came late this week the hospital was closing. A sign on the door confirmed it, closing the book on a 154-year history serving the city’s south side.Donna Randall worked at the hospital for 17 years. She’d just finished visiting some former colleagues Friday afternoon. They snapped out of it in a big way Friday night.Riding a bounce-back start from right-hander Chris Flexen, and beating up Adam Wainwright early and often, the Rockies beat the Cardinals, 9-4, at Busch Stadium. A man from Menifee was arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a minor in Lake Elsinore.Kole Scully-Mims, 23, became the subject of an investigation last month and was arrested on Friday morning by investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office and personnel from the Ben Clark Training Center.Scully-Mims was arrested without incident and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta where he remains in custody with bail set at $10,000.Kole Scully-Mims, 23, of Menifee. An individual was struck and killed by a Caltrain in San Francisco on Friday night, according to a statement by Caltrain authorities.The incident — which marks the seventh fatality related to the transportation agency — occurred between the city’s 22nd Street and Bayshore stations at approximately 7:30 p.m. Ninety-six passengers were on board.As of 8:30 Friday night, emergency personnel were on the scene, and the train’s service was stopped at the incident area.
