Cooler Showers this Wednesday

Published Tue, 05 Nov 2024 05:43:19 GMT

Cooler Showers this Wednesday Following a cold front that crossed through South Florida Tuesday morning, we are finally feeling the effects of it this Wednesday. Temperatures this morning are still a few degrees above normal in the mid 60s to mid 70s but a nice change is the lower humidity, which will remain with us through Friday. Now despite the front being stalled to the south over the Florida Straits, the weather will remain unsettled today due to an upper-level disturbance moving in later today from the Gulf of Mexico. This will lead to increasing clouds during the morning hours with scattered light rain showers from the late morning and into the afternoon hours, especially. Then the clouds and showers will clear out to the east by around sunset this evening. Due to the clouds and a breezy, northerly wind, temperatures will actually be below average into the mid to upper 70s. The last time we had highs in the 70s was a month ago on Valentine’s Day!By Thursday, we turn nice again but also with cooler te...

Howie Carr: SVB wokest to brokest bank overnight Where do I go to get my free money? Why must you and I and millions of other Americans who work for a living bail out the Beautiful People who foolishly stashed their cash in Silicon Valley Bank?Wasn’t the deal that you had to keep your balance under $250,000 to be protected by FDIC insurance?I guess that rule wasn’t in effect if you were woke, a member of a protected class or contributed enough to Democrat fat cats, or all of the above. Here’s how America works now. If a Democrat fat cat makes an investment and it pays off, he or she reaps the profits and sends a 10% kickback to the Big Guy.If the Biden bundlers lose their shirts, they forward the unpaid bills to the taxpayers and flee on their private jets to Aspen or Palm Beach for a long weekend. Why aren’t Bernie Sanders and the fake Indian complaining about this kind of “corporate welfare” for the Politically Correct?Overnight, SVB went from America’s wokest bank to its brokest bank. Funny how that works, isn’t it? Just ask Disne...

Patriots sit out initial days of NFL free agency despite ample cap room, lack of spending Two days into free agency, the Patriots are sitting on the side of the pool.No splashes. Just dipping their toes in the water, gathering with old friends and waving one goodbye.Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers agreed to terms on a three-year, $33 million contract Tuesday with Las Vegas, a source confirmed to the Herald. Meyers will receive $21 million guaranteed in his new deal, which fell short of projections for the best wideout available and allows the Raiders to cut ties without penalty next offseason. The Patriots also re-signed safety Jabrill Peppers and added a new offensive tackle. But as of late Tuesday night, the Patriots continued to sit out the initial waves of free agency despite holding the fifth-most cap space in the NFL and ranking dead last by 2023 cash spending, per Over The Cap.Meyers’ departure suddenly leaves the offense with a major hole at wide receiver. Last year, he caught 67 passes for 804 yards and six touchdowns and repeatedly expressed an interest in retu...

Musk internet kits a boon for bad actors in Brazilian Amazon ATALAIA DO NORTE, Brazil (AP) — Brazilian federal agents aboard three helicopters descended on an illegal mining site on Tuesday in the Amazon rainforest. They were met with gunfire, and the shooters escaped, leaving behind an increasingly familiar find for authorities: Starlink internet units. Starlink, a division of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has almost 4,000 low-orbit satellites lined up across the skies, connecting people in remote corners of the Amazon and providing a crucial advantage to Ukranian forces on the battlefield. The lightweight, high-speed internet system has also proved a new and valuable tool for Brazil’s illegal miners, with reliable service for coordinating logistics, receiving advance warning of law enforcement raids and making payments without flying back to the city.Agents from the Brazilian environment agency’s special inspection group and the federal highway police rapid response group on Tuesday found one Starlink terminal up and running next to a pit, an officer...
