For as good as Sonny Gray has been this season — and he was an All-Star who now boasts a 3.15 earned-run average — the veteran starter hasn’t won a game since April and the Twins haven’t won a game he has started in more than a month. That changed on Saturday.Gray still didn’t get an elusive win, though he certainly pitched well enough for one. Instead, he had the misfortune of facing White Sox ace Dylan Cease, who kept the Twins mostly quiet during his six-inning outing. It wasn’t until after both Gray and Cease left the game that the Twins broke through, scoring a pair of runs in the seventh inning to help them to a 3-2 win over the White Sox at Target Field.Catcher Christian Vázquez played a central role in the win, leading off the second inning with a double, scoring the team’s first run on a Carlos Correa double later in the second inning and then tying the game up in the seventh inning.Vázquez appeared to believe the ball was leaving the park, celebrating his hit as if it was a ...Ukrainian boys soccer team FC Minaj’s trip of a lifetime comes to an end

CLAYTON, Mo. - The Clayton Police Department conducted active shooter training Saturday at Wydown Middle School, just weeks before families prepare for the start of the school year. The police department collaborated with the Clayton Fire Department and the Clayton School District. Officers say this training comes in addition to the active shooter training they do regularly. Protests over Francis Howell plan to allow anti-racism resolution to expire “It’s important that we work out all of the bugs in a situation like this," said Battalion Chief Ryan Harrell with the Clayton Fire Department. "Because if an incident were to happen like this, that’s not the time for us to try and figure out how we’re going to communicate, how we’re going to collaborate, how we’re going to work together on these types of things.” Clayton's entire fire and police departments were involved in Saturday's training. Anchor Brewing is open to considering a potential offer from employees looking to buy and save the storied San Francisco brewery, a spokesperson confirmed Saturday. On July 12, the company announced it would be shutting down operations, sending shockwaves throughout the Bay Area and prompting its beer to start flying off of shelves. The brewery was a pioneer in California’s craft beer scene, founded in 1896 and surviving prohibition in the 1920s and early 1930s.Ownership of the brewery has changed over the years and Anchor was mostly recently purchased in 2017 by Japanese conglomerate Sapporo. However, sales have been down in recent years, forcing the company to scale back and eventually announce its closure earlier this month. But in the last week and a half, a group of employees have been frantically working to preserve Anchor’s 127-year-old legacy. And the company now says it’s open to the sale.“We have received an e-mail from Anchor’s Union spokespers...Latest news
